Open Hearts Ministries partnered with Church of God of the Prophecy church in the community of Santa Maria, Nicaragua on November 9th, 2015. This partnership was formed as a result of the inspirational relationship between two teenage girls, one from North America and one from Nicaragua (see Daisy's story). Pastor Isidro Jose Castillo oversees the daily operation at the Santa Maria Feeding Center where they are able to feed more than 154 children daily. Open Hearts Ministries began working with Pastor Angel Alberto Membreno Garcia and Center of Hope Community Church in the Valle el volcan(Valley of the volcano) community of Nindiri, Nicaragua on July 27th of 2016. After a mighty move of God on the hearts of interns and staff of Open Hearts Ministries, the relationship began that currently allows Pastor Alberto Membreno to coordinate the feeding of 55 children in this community that lies adjacent to the city landfill.
